180 children from KS2 braved freezing January weather today to compete in the Halifax High Family of Schools Cross Country Competition against six schools on Ling Bob Playing Field.

Approx 400 children took part in the event which was organised by Halifax High Sports Co-ordinator Tracey and Mrs Roy (Ling Bob).

All the children thoroughly enjoyed the event and each received a certificate.

Year 3 and 4, girls and boys competed in four separate races of one lap of the field in the morning.

Year 5 and 6 boys and girls competed in four separate races of two laps of the field in the afternoon.
